2009 nytro xtx
I have rode arctic cat for years but made the jump to a nytro xtx. Just pulled skid replaced rear shock, wheels with x-wheels, limiters, dupont slides and added 4th wheel kit.

In aligning track, set at 30 mm ce in ter on 22 lb pull each side even though seems tight to me. Initially track centering was shifted about 7 mm to left. Once I centered track i noticed right side outside rear wheel is "free" with no resistance when on stand. To get similar resistance on both outside wheels it is 5mm off center, so recentered and again moves freely.

Should I worry or just leave since not a drive wheel and addrd a 4th? I really dont want to pull skid again as thought about removing 4th wheel and/or replacing outside wheel maybe worn? Can you pull rear shaft by loosening track if need to to replace wheel or remove one?

I appreciate any insight as i never had this issue with my cats.

Thanks in advance.

Center the track and just dont worry if it has full contact on the outer wheels, its more important that the track is centered.

Thank you. That is what I figured but wanted to verify.

With the nytros does the track run tight up front? I did set to specs but seemed tight up front.
Thanks.

I like to run it about 2" with 20lbs of force or just tight enough that you can push it away at the bend unless you are studded then I would go 1.5" with 20lbs

I followed the service manual when I changed my duponts and put the required weight on it, seemed tight to me as well but no issues last winter.

I tend to run my track pretty loose on my nytro. I very seldom run into ratcheting problems. I set it up to spec once and the sliders were getting pretty hot so ever since then I run it loose. I also just get it centered as close as I can and call it good.
