What is the first thing that you are going to do to your sled. Aftermarket skis, clutch kit, trail tank or are you just going to leave it stock. Will these sleds get 100 miles to a tank? Thanks

I think I'm going to install a new track, probably the Ripsaw XT with the pre-installed studs.

The first thing anybody should do (For those who ride aggressive) is stud the track and replace the skis.

100 miles per tank is pushing it....speaking from experience.

#1: Ulmer Oilite Front End Bushings
#2: Install Grease Zert fittings in front end Suspension.
#3: Install USI Tripple X2's.
#4: Heated shield harness.
#5: Top Secret
#6: Top Secret
#7: Top Secret
etc. etc. etc.

No Really with others ^^^^ on here I can't devulge everything. When it's done they'll be pics.

Also, I'll probably install an extra set of idlers just ahead of the rear axle. I don't want to change out 3 sets of sliders in one season EVER again (unless I ride over 10000 km), especially when it's -20 degrees outside.

here are my mods

1. going to a 136
2. Going to a 9838 track
3. SkiDoo Extroverts
4. Slydog Skis not sure which kind yet.
5. 162 Studboy lakeracer studs

After 08 I would just ride it stock until you know forsure all the 08 issues are fixed. Yamaha will blame any problem that comes up on an aftermarket part. If you have front end probs and the wrong dealer behind you aftermarket skis will void your warranty on a bent front end if that were to happen.

Just a heads uo to guys wanting to mod, I didn't fare to well with the USI Tripple threat skis they steer really heavy and dart around alot, this is with a 9" wear bar on them. You might have better luck with less carbide. I tried to move them around and shim them as well with little luck.
