Yamaha tells us what the Horsepower is but does anybody know what kind of torque this sleds produces?

It did not lose any TQ anywhere in the RPM range compared to the Vector and gained 7 ft lbs of torque over the Vector motor as well!

And the Vector has how much Peak torque?

What kind of torque will this sled have? I don't know what the vector had.

Whats peak hp? The vector peaked at 80 lbs of torque are you saying that the new nytro motor will make more tq then the apex at 78lbs?
I want to do an all motor build up next year shooting for 150-160 hp on the new engine.

Don't you think for the price your going to pay to make the sled NA you can just add a forced induction and have more power

Those with experience on the dyno please correct me if I am wrong.
A while back I remember checking on the RX1 and found out the ratings which were published were at the crank... so I assume the gear reduction on the RX1 & Apex will play a factor (much like when you drop a tooth when gearing). The Apex has a gear reduction ratio around 81%.
If the equation is linear, this puts the peak torque of the Apex after the gear reduction is taken into account in the 95-96 range.
Those with first hand knowledge of the subject please confirm.

The gear reduction is 13%, it's about 88-90 lbs.

77.6 @ 9000 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
87.0 @ 9000 rpm (1000 miles, CR10EK plugs, full synthetic oil)
RX-1 peak TQ from a few different tests:
78.1 @ 8100 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
79.8 @ 8300 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
Vector peak TQ from a few different tests:
82.4 @ 6800 rpm (4000 miles)
82.6 @ 7000 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
78.1 @ 6100 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
79.7 @ 7000 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
80.8 @ 6900 rpm (brand new 0 miles)
Those are some numbers that I had posted a while back. All the torque is measured at the clutch shaft with the torque multiplication from the gear reduction taken into account. If you were to measure the torque at the crank it would be lower.

Thats a big jump in tq on the apex when you hit 1000 miles. Are you running another type of oil besides the yamaha 4-s (or whatever the yamaha stuff is)? would you dare to guess how much of the tq increase is from breakin vs. the plugs and oil?

For a reference, since I had posted that original information back in the Apex/Attak section earlier an Apex with a little over 800 miles on it was dyno'd at 80.1 ft lbs @ 9100 rpm. We are running a different type of oil other than the Yamaha 4-stroke oil.
