Two things I will miss from my Apex to the Nytro, the motor (which I think I will fall in love all over again) and the Gauge Pod/Tach. I really thought that the Apex pod was one of the best in the biz. The only thing missing was a coolent temp read out. Being able to glance down and quickly see the needle swing was nice. But honestly. I probably used the sound of the motor more often to determine speed/decel rate. But seeing that tach go from 1,500 to 10,800 right-now was neat.
As far as the accuracy, I remember reading, and did notice on my Phazer that there is a slight delay in the gage updating. That or it's just too hard to read the changing numbers, as all of them may change in a second or two ie. 4,500 to 7,858 in one and a half seconds, it just becomes to hard to read. I think for longer more stable runs (WFO's) you could use it to determine clutching/gearing but you do loose the ability to watch the sweep. Besides there isn't enough room of the sled for a bigger pod. Did anyone try connecting their Apex pod to the Nytro? I wonder i it would even work?
