Well had the Nytro out on the lake today. Worked real well. Raced all the above sleds, plus some others (Fusion 900, couple ZR's, Rev 800's ect). Raced about a 1/4 mile, maybe just under. Speeds before letting off was mid 90's. A few of the F1000's had some work done on them and were pretty fast. If I or my buddy got the jump on them we stayed out there till probably 80 and they'd go by. Some of the stockers (at least assuming they were stock) we were able to stay ahead of the whole way on some runs when we got good starts. There were a lot of F1k's out there.
There were a couple XP 800's too. The yellow one that you'll see in the video beat us more times that we beat it. Usually a sled length ahead, though in the video you'll see my buddy neck and neck with him. The black xp (also in the video) we pretty much had our way with and he was usually a sled or a sled and a half back. There were a spattering of F-7's out there and for the most part we didn't have any problem with them either. There were a couple though that were consistently 2 -3 sled lengths ahead at the end, one of the guys admitted that he had the 900 kit done. Was beating the F1k's too. I imagine the other had something similar despite his "just about stock" claims hah.
My buddy's son was on the apex (excell exhaust, filter kit, fuel accelerator, clutching), he had trouble getting out of the hole because the snow wasn't hardpacked. If he got a good start he'd usually end up ahead of most if not all the sleds. I'm not in any of these video's. But my sled is very comparable to my buddies (red/white Nytro RTX). He's pretty good at setting the sled up. I can usually top end him and as long as I get out of the hole I was staying ahead of him. My sled has only the Excell exhaust system. No clutching, no gearing.
I apologize for the poor quality of the video's. First video if you pause it just as they are approaching my location you'll see two F1k's and the Apex in front. Next you'll see another F1k just a nose ahead of the yellow xp, on the far side you'll see my buddy's Nytro neck and neck with the xp. After that you'll see a black xp and a red F7.
Second video you'll see the black XP again, I think an F7 or two. He got a great holeshot on that one. The Nytro is not a lake racer by any means and we got beat plenty, don't get me wrong, but we were racing the big iron sleds from the other makes and in the 1/4 hanging with them. That's impressive. This sled is impressive. Couldn't be happier.
