Hey guys just looking for some clutching and regearing suggestions. We are changing the track to a 1.75" and are headed into the mtns. The guy riding is about 300 lbs so he'd like a little more in the bottom end instead of the huge top end they have. I was tild to just drop a tooth on the top gear would be enough , just want to be sure. :4STroke:

I dropped 1 tooth on top, honestly I don't think it was necessary. Maybe would help your friend though @ 300lbs...can't help you with clutching, I'm @ sea level, sorry.

Yeah if dude is 300lbs and headed to the mountains I'd re-gear for sure. I'm running 19/39 which if I recall is down 2 on top. Works well in the mountains for me and only gives up a small amount of top end in the flats, which anyone running a 1.75 track shouldn't be too worried about anyways. Your buddy may was to consider gearing even lower then I did.
