Ok, i now have around 250 miles of mostly ditch/field riding on my new XTX so here are a few thoughts. I am coming off a 06 Attak so comparisons will be made to it.
First off the sled feels good, rides nice and after putting on the shield skirts and taller windshield wind protection is good enough. Believe it or not the handwarmers kept my hands plenty warm tonight in -2 temp and -20 to -30 windchill. If you don't already have them then get the elephant ear handguard covers ordered they take care of any wind hitting on your hands at all. I have no doubt that if your hands get real cold working on your buddies sled that it will take a while to warm them back up, but if you never get them cold they seem to work fine for me.
The ride is very good, and in the bigger hits much better than the attak, however on the stutters I would give the edge to the attak. The gauge package on this sled sucks compared to the attak, a major step backwards as far as I am concerned. CAn't believe how much i miss the clock. The hood is definitely more of a pain to put on, but will certainly get easier with more practice. The side panels are easier to put on. Storage, well what storage. I did go with the windshield bag, and it will work nice for pop, flashlight and a few other items, and it fits well.
Already planning on hauling fuel, and when I get it on will post some pictures, this thing needs a bigger tank. Steering seems to be a little heavy, but haven't played with the settings yet to try to get it dialed in better. I replaced the track with a cobra and so far it seems to work quite well and for those wondering extros do work, at least for me with approximately 1/4" removed from the rails.
The Power on this thing is so much better than my attak it isn't even funny, really fun to ride. Oh maybe this has something to do with the powderlites turbo i put on LOL. I will also be switching this sled back and forth between the 144 and a 159 M10, will try to post pics of this when i put the 159 under it for west riding. Had new brackets made to make this a pretty easy swap, or so I hope.
Overall I don't miss the Attak, even tho I really loved that sled, I do think this is going to be a better sled for my riding, however it did need some more things added to make it a really great sled, and I don't think I am quite done, 2" riser wasn't really enough, so will probably go with a 4 to 5.5" rox unless someone has a better idea (i am only 5'8", but it just doesn't seem tall enough yet)
More to come as I think about it.

Where's Garwin? How far are you from Iowa City? You'll have to pm me, we're trying to get a group of Iowa guys together to ride!

Heavy steering, darts a lot, have a miss in the motor, front end fills with snow. Suspention is smooth, motor is excellant. Needs wider skis and probably a float plate. Mainly if i can get rid of the heavy steering and darting, this sled would be awsome. Makes me wonder what the 1200 Ski Doo is like.

I have Curve skis & they do not dart at all however I still have the heavy steering. I'm Going to make some adjustments to see if this can be improved upon!
