Hey Guys,
I need a little help here. I have a 2009 XTX with approx 2900 km. Belt is in good shape, track is adjusted perfectly, chain is set to proper tension, basically the sled is in perfect shape!! Yesterday on my way home from work I came off a large embankment and got a few feet of air, nothing crazy. When I landed I was WOT to rooster my buddy and like most, the track ratchet. No biggie...this happened before. Only thing now I have a weird vibration through the whole sled when ever I accelerate. Coasting, cruise, and de-acceleration nothing is felt (except for normal engine and track vibes) I am a mechanic and the first thing came to mind is I broke an engine mount, this is what it felt like. Engine is rock solid!! Primary and secondary are solid too!! It almost seems like an old vehicle with bad universals, you only feel it during acceleration. Checked the 4 sprockets quickly and the don't even show any signs of wear. I going in the shop now to check the drive axle bearings. Anyone have any ideas? I'm kinda lost!! Thanks in advance for any help.

Bent drive or cross shaft? Or maybe you bent the track adjusters and the rear axle is out of whack.

I would expect a misaligned rotating part to drive the vibration all the time, or at least within a wide harmonic range. Something could be flexing or loose enough to move under hard acceleration. Put the sled up on a stand, take off the side panels and rev it up. You might see something bouncing around that shouldn't be.

Hey Turk'
No Ice, the sled been in the shop all week, done a 610 km ride weekend before last, been to tired to ride last week, just drove it to work yesterday, so the sled is nice and dry.

Just dropped the suspension, everything is straight and tight. Hard to tell if the shaft is out of round while in-situ. I hope not. Will see tomorrow morning on the way to work!
If it's still there I guess it's a bit more work than planed. I will let you know what I find, or if anyone else had seen this please let me know. Thanks guys.
Dame
