Rode 1400km's in 4 days on a 2011 Apex XTX, one day consisting of just under 600km's, the Nytro was still in the shop getting a new crank.

Power steering was amazing over this trip, my upper body was not sore at all, had this been my Nytro with my cobra heads, I'm sure I would have felt the km's at the end of every day.
The tradeoff was the weight of the sled and the amount of effort that I had to keep it on the trail in the twisties, my legs sure got a workout. I wanted to put my C&A's on before the trip but they didn't fit snug without the spacer plate that is needed so I was stuck with the stock skis.

The Apex handled the studder bumps with ease, but the larger moguls were too much for the stock shock package, and the sled just submarined. This is one feature I like about my Nytro, adjustable clicker shocks that can be changed based on riding conditions.

I felt that I was a bit cramped on the Apex, I'm only 5'7" but always found myself stretching after 50k, trying to get some feeling back in my legs. I also like to stand up which is virtually impossible to do on the apex comfortably. I have long gorilla arms and am considered short, so I'm not sure how this would be accomplished by a larger rider.

Cornering was somewhat predictable but I feel a whole lot more confident in the corners on my Nytro than the Apex, it may be the extra weight or the fact that the Apex was bone stock and no adjustments were made.

Fuel economy was a bit less than the Nytro and the apex is on par with an 800p ski doo. The range was anywhere from 200km - 220km on a full tank. I ran out of fuel about 2km out of town from our truck but managed to rock the sled home.

I was seriously considering the apex but after this ride, I'll stick with the Nytro. With my 3 gallon rotopax on the back and better fuel economy, I should have an increased overall range than the Apex for those high mileage fuel stops. My Nytro has been setup for me and I love the way it handles, I'm sure I could get the Apex to handle better and help with the big bumps with a better shock package.

I also had an issue with the Fuel Pump Relay at -25, lucky I knew what it was right away, warmed it up and away we went.

My 2 cents.

On another note, ran into an Apex with 25k and another with 35k, go Yammy....
