My 09 vector has developed a vibration in the last cpl weeks, but only at faster speeds,i'll be cruising at 50 mph and when i whack the throttle and accelerate to its top speed, the vibe gets much worst, the sled has 15000 miles, all wheels are ok,chain is tight,my slides are shot, almost to the aluminum, wonder if that could cause this

Nope, swapped belts yesterday and still the same,i'm thinking maybe my driveshaft might have a hairline crack and is out of balance,i will install new slides and try that,i have slp wearpads on every closed holes in the track and theres a few missing, maybe that doesnt help

The missing wear pads could contribute to bad harmonics in the track as the speeds increase.
I would also take a look at the driveshaft and jackshaft bearings.

I snapped the driveshaft on my old warrior and about 10 miles before it broke,it developed an instant vibration and with the vector, its been vibrating for the last 1000 km,so you would think the shaft would of broke by now, glad winter is almost over, but we still have 6 feet of snow in places

I lost a button or puck on the secondary and it did that and also could not hit 100....that is when I knew something was up. Check your secondary.

Hey Pat, did you find the cause of the vibration?

No,not yet,i havent ridden it for a week now,i think i,m gonna run out of time, this summer i'm replacing all drive bearings and will pull the skid and take a good look at the driveshaft

rode 60 miles today, and for some reason, the vibration is gone, funny thing is that it had been vibrating for a while, the sled hasnt gone out in a cpl weeks so it was completly thawed out, cant see the ice causing that vibe,i'm confused but happy at the same time

I know what you are thinking Happy its gone but what was it and don't pull Murphy's law and come back at a bad time

Good luck hope you never vibrate again.

Finally solved my vibration issue,i removed all the wear pads from the track, there were 6 missing close to each other, and now it is smooth like it used to be, :-o

Thanks for the info. One more thing to keep an eye on!
