you can never go wrong with an expensive sealed battery, its not a lawn mower, I have a stroked harley and its the only thing that lasts a few years. usually once a year there will be a post on how some believe you can "revive" a battery with certain chargers. I am 100% that when you need a battery, better get one now and not screw around

I switched to an Odyssey battery last year. Much too early to tell if has the longevity they claim.

Ha I not only believe it I know it too be fact my friend. Some batteries most certainly can be revived with an optimate III. I have two from my diesel truck that I thought were toast but have been put back in the truck for two years now. The battery in my quad is going on 10 years but its used year round. Get an AGM battery if you need one but try to revive it first with an optimate 3 or 4. The thing is if you keep a float charger on your battery or use it year round the battery will last a very long time. An Odyssey battery is the king of batteries IMHO.

I think you answered your own question. If you're just now replacing the original battery in your '06 Attak, then I'd be more inclined to stick to a proven item.........a stock battery.

i put my optimate III on it charged it, says charge complete but when i turn it over, it just doesn't have enough to start it, turn for 5 seconds and dies

If you go with a Odyssey the PC545 is a good canidate. This is what comes with a MPI supercharger setup and what I have used in Vectors, RX-1, and Apexes when replacing the OEM battery.

Yup, I got the PC545 for my Nytro.
I put the PC680MJ in my bike and two walmart agm batteries in my sleds going on their 3rd winter now and they cranked all summer to start the sled once a month and still going strong.

I have an '07 Venture 4 stroke and bought a PC68O at Auto Zone, thru special order... Was 113 bucks and it fit right in the sled no modifications needed.. It has a few more CCA's than the PC545 and if it did not fit they would take it back with no charge.. The PC 545 was 99 bucks at most places... Friends at an EAA Airport club have had them for 10 years starting planes that sit for months at a time.. They use them is race car applications also for weight reduction.. My original was a YTX20 series battery and terminals were on the same sides.. This is the 4th or 5th battery in this sled tired of the AGM ones from China only last 1 or 2 years...
