For those planning to keep their 08's what projects do you have planned for your Nytro this offseason?

So far mine include:
- Revalve shocks (looking for a good place if you know of one)
- New windshield (like the blue one on the RTX SE)
- Keep an eye on possible frontend mods
- New skis
- Sure there will be more....

:yam:

If i dont get a SE i will:
Revalve all shocks.
Modify runningboards.
Mount some oillites in the frontend.

If I don't trade for an SE I will-

Have all 4 shocks re-valved and add resi's to the front Floats

Hope Yamaha comes out with updates:
- Weak Bulkhead replacement (or at least a discount)
- Front susp geometry
- Left foot soaker
- Inconsistant handwarmers

If no updates I will:
- Bend my subframe back and reinforce it
- Come up with my own solution for the left foot soaker
- Mod the handwarmers or install hot grips

I love the sled and really hope they come out with some fixes for these small issues...

If I don't get rid of my RTX for an Assault I will -

- Pray for front end updates
- Prefilter material for keep my pants and feet dry
- Stretching to 144" using Ulmer tipped up rails. Not sure on track yet.
- Bigger fuel tank
- Heavier rear springs
- Lose at least 80 lbs myself

I've already made most of the changes I wanted but over the summer I'll do a few more...

sub frame bracing
a-arm bracing
stronger tie rods
exhaust
re-valving all four Floats and adding ressis
lots of powdercoating
remodifying my already modified tunnel

Besides from off-season service (= replacing all front end ball joints and bending the subframe back for the third time...) I am considering two options:

1) Keep my current RTX 40th and install a completely different rear suspension.

2) Get a new XTX and build it basically the same way as my current sled (skis, shocks, track, extroverts), possibly also with a completely different rear suspension.

after market tunnel..stock one looks like 58 buick..136 track 1" or 1.25..not sure right now..sport bike pipe..custom paint..flat cornering is coming along by playing with valving and spring preload ..but would like nicer looking A arms...stock looks crude especially top arm..
