Wondering if a pivot riser will do the same thing as an oft relocator. I already have a2.5" lake effect pivot riser and just wanting to know if it would be any better if I added the relocator also

I have both. I went with a 1.5" taller then stock setup and the relocator.
The relocator is more then just a 6degree adjustment. That degree of change with a pivot adapter only - creates a pressure point in my view. The relocator smooths out the angle putting the sweep of the steering in a more natural position..
It also replaces the plastic steering blocks with billet ones with oil pressed bushings.

You really can't compare the two. When you add a riser you have to stay on the same plane as the steering stem or the steering gets really weird, with the whole handle bars rocking back and like a see-saw over the pivot point.
I have a 3.5" pivot riser, but it can't be used to move the bars forward, all it really does is make the steering post longer, and effectively moves the bars back as well as higher.

not sure how tall you are but I'm 5' 11" and the oft relocator puts the bars at just the right level for me with no riser. Bar sweep is much more natural IMO with the relocator.

Quick stupid question, I bought my sled used from a guy and he has no clue about the mods on it since his buddies did them, what would be an easy way to tell if you already have the oft relocator?
Sorry to get your thread off topic.

Just installed the relocator and makes it much easier for standup riding, as well as a nice height. Have not got a chance to try it on the snow tho
Yamaha06 in Stoli's 2nd picture posted above, you can see the OFT relocator on the steering shaft (Black part) being in the center of where the cables run through just above the gas tank.

My RTX had a factory pivot...season one I had the riser all the way forward ( upright ). Season 2 I installed the OFT relocator...the bars are almost in the same location...but the relocator does so much more....the change in steering sweep make a big difference in the whole feel of the steering period.

I did my fit season on my rtx with a 6in lakeeffect and flat bars. I had the bars straight up and after one ride it was so weird I had to move them almost inline with the post. I just put the relocated on and just stating on it I can see that it is much more natural, I havent rode it yet but just sitting on it it feels like any other sled I've had. The relocated changes from what I can tell the up down motion to steer (like a steering wheel) and makes it more of a push pull like a atv.
I just think I might need to call superman for a smaller riser than the 6.

Guys, this may be a stupid question but can somebody interpret what the oft relocator kit does exactly.
I think it moves the bottom of the steering post forward resulting in the handle bars being more toward the rear of the sled??
thanksss

The other way around. It moves the top of the bars forward and up away from the rear of the sled. When you install it you if you were sitting on the sled you would unbolt the steering post from the sled, then push it forward about 2.5 inches then put the locater in where the pos used to be and bolt it in. Then bolt the post to the round end of the relocater. Hope that made sence, there might be a YouTube vid I think.
