First of all im sure there isnt something wrong, i just dont get it.
Got my pieces of OFT steering blocks, but find a 1mm gap on the oilite bushing even when the blocks are together, why arnt it tight? cant see it expand either?
Just curious.

And no problem with loose steering? etc.
So much contact with the shaft that there is no chance for loose steering. Works like a sharm

Just put it on and holy f*ck this is how the Yammi would be stock, a bit heavy stearing but im sure that will loosen up, now i just need to get my ball joints, bushings and collars for the rest and i will be sweet

That is correct, the gap is from cutting them in half. The bushing itself is not clamped into the block but "floating" since the hard surface of the steel post is a better bearing surface than the soft aluminum the post will turn in the bushing not the bushing in the block as well as the post/bushing having a tolerance where the bushing to block is as perfect of a fit as possible.
We do build them as close to tight as possible so some posts are out of round by a few thousands causing them to be a little tight. If it doesn't free up just shoot me a email and we'll get you taken care of. But from the sounds of it, it will.

hope you put a little lube on the install. These are 100 percent better than OEM!!!!

Had some grease left on the steering from the org blocks, will be fine.
no lube, oilite are cured in oil to be selflubricating. but Im sure a little wont hur, nor would alot I guess as you use these types of bushing in aplications where theres loads of oil around as well..

X2! I installed these oilite steering blocks and I replaced all of my front end bushings with oilite as well. The steering felt too tight (effort wise) at first but after a day of twisty trail riding it was perfect!
These blocks took out 90% of the slop in my steering and I did install them with a little bit of grease with no problems or issues.

I also put a bit of synthetic grease in mine with no issues to date. I am not sure how much of the slop reduction was due to just these blocks because I did the entire front end in oilite bushings at the same time. Now a year later my steering still has less slop than when it was brand new.
