I just finished installing the OFT steering relocator and I have to say, fit an finish was amazing. The only question I have is my steering is darn tight now. Its hanging in the air and the steering is very firm. Is this what it's supposed to be like? I ended up backing off on the capscrews up top just a bit (still using the locktite) to free it up, but its still stiff.

I am thinking you may have binding down at the bottom steering block... possibly not quite bent far enough forward/down...Is that flat piece on the steering shaft near the bottom block rubbing?
I just did mine and everything is as tight as I can go and my steering is still free....
Did you make sure to put the longer bushings in the top mount? Don't know if that would affect it but I know the instructions make a point about it...

Just my .02 on this.
I installed mine over the weekend and had a similiar concern.
I would suggest making sure the bottom cradle is seated properly and completely against the steering bracket at the front of the sled.
I noticed a big change in the feeling of my steering when I adjusted this.
I seems the aluminum block was not tight to the steering plate and was causing a slight binding.
Overall this is a great product and the guys were very helpful when I purchased my kit at Haydays this year.

I'd check what the guys above suggested. I couldn't get those bottom bolts to bend correctly using a deep socket, so I simply slid the oft aluminum block on the bolts, and used a big channel locks. it scuffed it up a bit, but I was able to bend them perfectly. Then use a file to clean up the block.

If I remember corrently, the steering will feel tight if sled is suspended in the air with your front suspension uncompressed. Also, reroute your cables and brake line to minimize any potential for binding to occur.

I amost missed it, but I did put he bushing in the correct spot.
The steering block "looks" flush but i'll get a feeler gauge in there. Maybe I can get a bit set of channel locks and bend the block down if its not all the way.

My kit was very tight for the first little while, give the O-lite time to seat and wear a touch and i'm sure you will be pleased.

I just rerouted the throttle, I didn't know about the brake line...

I don't mean to steal this post but I installed relocator with the vent kit. My only concerns are that top of "oft" bracket is very tight fit and seems to me that brake line is also tight in this area. Where is everyone running brake line, Throttle cable not a problem after rerouting under bar.

I noticed my brake line was tight too but I just loosened the ties that hold the hose in position and pulled a little extra up... seems there is quite a bit of extra brake line... Mind you mine is a MTX if that makes a difference...

I went beyond following supplied directions and rerouted the brake line for more freeplay. Wasn't an easy task but well worth it.

I moved the parking brake but not the brake line.

I made my own relocate and when doing any job like this or a arm bushings that people have trouble with, I check play and binding at every step and deal with the problem right then and there. alot easier than playing guessing game afterwards
