KHEXX said:Just installed the OFT relocator and I must say it is truly an awesome product!!!! No install issues here at all, everything was straightforward and went smoothly!!! Not only did it flatten out the steering axis, but it gives me the couple inches of rise that I needed!!! A MUST HAVE!!!!!![]()
X2 I really cant see where installing would be any issue...

Quick questions for you guys that have done this install. Step 1 in the directions say to put the sled on jackstands. Where do you place the jackstands so you can still sweep the skis back and forth? Also should I put the skis on the ground to tighten everything up? Thanks in advance!

Did my install this weekend. Great product, and easy install! My dad (a machinist and millwright) was admiring the workmanship on the product..... Very high quality piece.
Steering is now nice and firm, and the angle is much nicer... Can't wait to try it on snow, instead of running up and down the ditch in front of my parents place on the grass. Now I need to do something about the outrageously soft & low stock seat...

We have had 40cm of snow in November and its snowing right now. Tried out the sled w/relocator yesterday. Like some guys have said, Too bad Yamaha didn't do this at the factory.TVBrian said:Did my install this weekend. Great product, and easy install! Installed last night; very easy and i left it on the rollers. the placement of the handlebars is a much better angle and height. i was thinking of buying risers before i put this on but they are at a perfect height. Great product fit to finish.

Anybody have problems loosening and adjusting the steering linkage to straighten the handlebars to the skis? I cant seem to get anything down on the lower nut to loosen it. The steering is not off by much but is noticeable. Other than this it was a easy install and very good quality. Sitting on the sled I feel like im riding a hog with big apehangers on it!!

I had the same issues with the steering linkage. I found a short end wrench, very short. had to use vise grips to get the center to turn.
Ya the locate took only 1 beer to install, and the Steering and throttle took me 2 beers ....

Loosen the jam nut on the top one. Turn hymejoint (spelling?) clockwise exactly 3 turns.

I use a set of crow feet to adjust mine.... Just took them with me, did a test run so I knew exactly where the bars were gonna sit, pulled over and adjusted it, then continued my ditch run to check if all was good.

Put on 125 mi yesterday. This is the best thing I've done to this sled. Anyone thinking of doing this, do it now! We were on variable trail conditions, some good , some bad, nothing groomed. The stock setup is laughable compared to what it is now. I have an 08 and have heard lots of people say they would never own an 08. I know that this sled's handling was scary ,not anymore. Too bad it took almost 9000km to finally complete the handling mystery. It's probably too late for a lot of performance mods, but at least it 's a fun ride.
