I have 2008 Apex ltx gt. Tryed operating Ohlin monoshock, gauge would move with controls but I put hand on shock could not feel or see any change to shock. How do I tell if its working? Thanks.

The shock has a little servo motor on the top of it, it will spin a small screw adjusting it. You MAY be able to feel the servo activate if you hold on tight with your hand around the Ohlins servo body and had someone adjust it you may be able to feel something. Otherwise probably only feel it while riding.

I could hardly notice a difference until I had Carver Performance re-valve my shock. Now I can really feel the difference!

I will look at the screw this weekend and see if its spin. I did have my hand on the servo but could not feel anything.

The screw mentioned is not visible from the outside of the shock body. It's an internal component. The best way to tell if it's working or not would be to adjust from hard to soft while riding on bumpy trails. If it's working you should be able to feel a difference. Revalving will allow you to tell the difference much more.

X2 on this. I could hardly notice any efffect of the adjustment until after Carver Performance re-valved mine. Now the adjustment difference is profound on the trail.

Spam?
I am not affiliated in any way with Carver Performance nor do I benefit in any way personally from giving my opinion about their services.
My only motive for sharing my opinion was to help out other fellow TY members. I have also heard good things about other aftermarket companies that re-valve & rebuild shocks.

Why would it be "spam" to share with others your good experience with a company that sells a useful product?????? I for one like when others share this type of information. Thanks Blue Dave.
