Just bought a xtx and looking for better rear shocks. Yamaha doesn't list them for a xtx in thier acc. cat.

I think hygear sells ohlins and they also have custom axis shocks. I'm sure they'd be able to help you

Hygear, Pioneer, Carver, and others, like your dealer. I got mine through Hygear.
I'll be selling all 4 of my XTX Ohlins soon. With or without the XTX attached.

How was the ride compaired to stock? I'll let my sister and brother-in-law in yellowknife know about the xtx's for sale too. They just moved there middle winter. She's a Lawyer, money's no problem. Interested in the Ohlins on XTX.

Ohlins made a very noticeable improvement. I knew in the first 5 minutes of the first ride that I didn't care for the stock rear shocks. Some test riders describe the front as being heavy. I'm convinced it's because the center shock rebounds too quickly and loads all the weight on the front end. The Ohlins were night and day better. No more getting butt slapped by the seat and pitching the weight to the front. The center shock eliminated bottoming the front arm and the rebound rate is much improved. What surprised me was how much better the fronts were. I didn't think the stocks were bad, but the Ohlins are clearly better. Control is everything.
All 4 Ohlins are triple clickers. They didn't need much adjusting from the supplied settings. Ohlins USA set them up for me and the set-up works great. I dealt direct with Ohlins but Hygear brokered the sale. I wish Ohlins had shocks to fit my new ride, but for now they don't. I just installed 4 new Zbroz shocks on that sled last night. We have a few weeks of riding left so I'm looking forward to some test time.

Highlands Yamaha in Counrtyside IL. Just had a Nytro brought in with 400 miles that got wrecked in the front. The raer skid is supposed to still be in great shape, and the owner had a Ohlins shock set up on it. I might be buying the track for mine, and they wanted to know if I knew anybody who would want the shock setup. Ask for Dan you might get a good deal. Good luck
