I think I have a problem with my Ohlins EC shock. When I depress the rear suspension there is barely any compression or rebound at all. Very little resistance on the way down and only about 1" of rebound if that. I know this is the electronic shock, but I don't believe the sled needs to be running to function, I think it only controls compression. I have checked everything out in the skid, and nothing is broke or seized. The sled has about 1400 miles on it. Not a lot, and they haven't been real rough miles. I save that for the Nytro. I haven't pulled the skid to get the shock out yet, just wondering what you guys have run into. If it is shot who is a good rebuilder? I rebuild Fox and ACT where I work, but I can't find any specs for Ohlins, so I guess it would have to go out. Any help is appriciated. Thanks.

That's what I was afraid of. Does 1400 miles seem early? At our shop it is not uncommon to see around 3000 miles on the Arctic Cat ACT's. Just curious.

1400 miles is not early at all for these shocks... unfortunatly!

The knob at the rear of the shock is where rebound is adjusted. When turned you should feel a positive "click". If you do not feel it the shock has lost its charge and needs rebuilding.

I sent mine to Hygear and had it re-valved and re-sprung with dual rate springs. Made for a completely different rear suspension... much better than stock!.
