Had my last best ride this weekend in Rose City area...snow was great, trails were all white with hardly a brown spot anywhere, then on Sunday morning after a final morning ride and sled inspection before loading up, I noticed that the Ohlins shock wire had broken, not at the shock but at the plug connection passed the tunnel grommet. I will have to fix the plug and solder then together, but I need to add some support to the wire between the last tie wrap on the swing arm and the tunnel grommet. If I use wire supports they would have to be able to release the captured wire so to be able to remove the rear skid and shock. My day job deals with wire harness design so maybe I will be able to find a wire support that can be reusable yet capture the wire securely to prevent any future wire holding problems such as ice buildup that can tear the wire apart. Any possible other solutions that TY site members might have would be appreciated.

Maybe a strong shield around the solenoid and then steel braided cable wire all the way through the tunnel to protect the inner wire. There is just too much snow, ice, etc. being thrown around in that skid (i.e., too harsh of an environment) for that rubber wire to last -- no matter how many zip ties/ re-routes a guy attempts......
