Anyone have a problem with there side oil tank leaking??

I am.... its such a small leak, i cant tell where its coming from.. i think its leaking at the seam at the right lower corner where the bolt goes!

what really sucks, is that i powder coated mine, so im guessing there is no way i will get it warrantied..

Before deciding that its a crack, check all the connections. Pay particularly close attention to the elbow on the bottom and its o-ring. Leaks are very common here.

If it is a broken tank, don't worry too much about warranty. You can patch it easily by cleaning it and slapping on a little high-temp silicon -- the pressure is not very high.

Hey Dude, there are a couple of threads over on the Nytro, and the RS forums about this. It appears that several people have had this happen on the lower right hand corner. One guy lost 2qts of oil in only a 100 miles or so. I can't remember exactly. Check it out. Maybe Joe will still take care if it for you.

Maybe you could find some Molten Orange JB Weld, ha ha ha.

All kidding aside, same thing happened to my RX1, 2000 miles with JB weld on oil can and and front heat-exchanger, no problems. I even cheated and used the Qwik Weld stuff. Good Luck

its definitly leaking in the Lower right corner.. the fittings and hoses are all bone dry but drips coming off of the tank..

Well i just confirmed it,,, i cleaned the outside of the tank, put a clean whit towel under it, warmed the sled up and let it sit for a couple hours..

big puddle under the right lower corner,, I just happened to find a 3/4 inch fine crack in the bottom of the tank..

ANyone have a tank for sale???
