Is there a thread on here for oil changes on the FX Nytro's. Buddy just bought one and wants to do it himself. Just looking for a step by step to make the first time a little easier.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Everything is laid out step by step in the owners manual. Follow the step carefully and in about 1 hour you will be done. Don't be in a hurry to do this work. Any mised step or loose hardware from reassembly WILL come back to haunt you. I safety wired both of the drain plugs just for piece of mind. Dont get crazy when you tighten them either.

I figured it was in the service manual not the owners manual. Thanks a million!
I'll tell him to get off his wallet and get the service manual. LOL!!!

I used the owner's manual for mine....worked fine and was easy to follow!! Yamaha puts out a solid owners manual for their machines. Honda should take note.....

if you take a small regular screwdriver and pop the center out first you shouldn't break any.

Remember to remove the old rubber seal on the old filter, sometimes it sticks, If that happens to your buddy and isn't caught in time, bye,bye motor.
