From the FAQ under "Oil Change With Pictures". Click on this link for the document. Steps six through nine are applicable. Scroll down in the document and you will see pictures 6a through 9d showing the procedure.

Here are some pictures of my battery box removed. Which welds are you talking about? The welds that connect the top rear of the "box" to the upper mounting bracket? Ulmer's pictures should show you exactly what to do. It is a little tricky the first time you do it but is not that hard to do if you have done it a few times.
I originally considered purchasing Ulmer's oil filter relocating kit (as shown in the link) but I have gotten pretty good at taking the battery box out and I like to take a good look at the steering linkage and electrical wiring once a year anyway.

I feel that the filter change it is a lot easier with the battery box removed. Especially if you want to do a good job of trying to catch the dirty oil with a rag and then doing a good job of cleaning the engine and the belly pan afterwards. JMHO

You are welcome, TY is all about helping each other out. I assume that you were able to remove the battery box. Now that you have done it once it will be much easier next time.

two 14 mm bolts holding that battery braket in need to come out. follow the round shaft over to the frame.
