I have a small oil leak where the O ring sits seating in the oil screen that is located next to the drain plug. The O ring is held in place with two alen screws. I am going to replace the O ring. Question should there be a thin paper gasket in this location as well?

Nope, just the o-ring. It's probably pinched or something.

I have some oil leaking from what would seem to be the oil pan gasket, not sure if id call it an oil pan, but the gasket that goes around the pan at the bottom of the engine. kinda snugged up the allen screws and wait to see what it does.

Yeah check those Allen bolts.. I noticed I had some loose when I did my 500mile oil change last winter.

Last year my dealer told me to check my oil tank mounting bolts to make sure they were tight. A few guys had the bolts work loose and cause the tank to move around breaking the mounting brackets.

Yeah, mine broke while out riding. Thank god for waterweld. Fixed it better than new though. I don't think the oil cans like air time.
