Anybody hook up an Oil Pressure Gauge? What type? And where are you connecting to engine?
Thanks

Electrical and I hooked it up to the stock oil pressure sending unit. Only problem is you have to keep the oem sender or the sled won't start. I tee'd off the stock one to add the sending unit. Also hooked up a temp guage, search for that , lots of info. Bought all the parts at homedepot. Oem sender is behind the battery. Search ( Oil and guage ) and you will have lots of info.

Auto meter #5727 for oil pressure and # 5737 for temp. Mine aren't auto meter but I would use them next time.

I really like those gauges but couldn't find them on their site. Do you have the part number so I can look them up?

Where is that sending unit located?

Thanks

Where yamaha wants it to be checked is in a not so friendly spot. Back side of the head, just beside #1 exhaust port, or to the right of the secondary clutch.

Hey BlackGt any pics of the wideband yet ?

Auto Meter stopped production of their 02 gauge (they won't say why) so i just got my set-up from NGK. Will have pics soon!

Right behind the Battery. Yellow/Green wire hooked up to a simple grey plug. The sending unit is a small silver round thing that screws off. Take it with you to the store to get a tee that fits it. Be carefull the guage sending unit isn't to big because there isn't much room. My tee came straight up and also one at 90 degrees. My sending unit was about 1 1/2 " dia. and just fit in beside the block. The OEM unit went on the 90 degree outlet. Put some teflon tape on them before install just make sure there is none past the last thread.

uil psi gage

one note of cation i work with fuel and oil pump,s DO NOT USE teflon tape on any fitings as teflon tape is for water pipes only. the reson for this is that if any bit of this tape get,s in to the system it,s all over but the crying. this i know as fact as i have seen this done before. use a fuel rated pipe dope like pro dope or masters pipe dope . :flag:

Liquid PST works great too. Work for Motorcoach industries and all the MCI buses you see in NorthAmerica have motor parts installed with teflon tape. Fuel is another story.
