When you change the oil on your Rx-1 and warriors, be sure to remove the oil line from the bottom of the tank so you can clean the metal screen on the pickup fitting. This screen does a good job of collecting debris and preventing it from reaching the oil pump. The pickup has a reuseable O-ring on it and it is connected with two socket head cap screws. I clean this screen as part of the oil and filter change process.

I too pull the tube and screen out of the oil tank when I change the oil. The last 2 times I did it there were small copper colored metallic flakes on the screen. Has anyone else seen that ?
No worries if the particles are too small to read the serial numbers off of.

Sounds like bearing material? How many miles? Ever been run low/no oil?
