OIL TANK QUESTION

Does any one know if the oiltank from an rx1 will fit on the attack?They look like they will,but they have different part # from Yamaha. My buddys 07 attack has a hairline crack in the oil tank and his warranty is expired. thanks .

yes it will fit, I put an RX 1 tank on mine. my orginal was smashed so bad I had to cut it to get the dipstick out. I had an old RX 1 one laying and around. put it on 4000 kms later not an issue. Just put all the APex fittings on it and you will be fine

contact yamaha customer service and bitch. I know a guy that had the same issue and they covered it out of warranty.

Find a welder with a good tig machine and get it welded. I welded the 1 on one my Apex with no problems.They are thin aluminum. Also the RS Rage, Vector will fit. I had just sold my Rage tank when the Apex was leaking or I would have used it. I compared the 2 they are the same.

Go to the RS section and look for the post (leaking oil resevior) and take a look at how I had mine welded. Also some good info. on the rubber grommet mounts.
