oil tank

hey Guy's,got home from the u.p wednesday,started my 06 nytro,oil light came on shut it down,found oil around oil tank,cracked next to the right lower bolt,I here they do this,I boiled it in degreaser and fresh water for a couple of hour,My buddy is going to tig it,does this work ok or do I need to just replace it,and what can I do to stop it from happening again on my sled and wife's 06 vector gt

I'd have him weld a small gusset in to help support the lower mount. Some people are installing rubber gussets in the mounting holes to take up some of the vibrations.
