I have a 2008 ltx gt and for some reason on my last ride I feel a bit of a vibration around 6000 rpm and can only get up around 9800 rpm at wide open throttle. This past summer I put some new exhaust donuts and new plugs. It also has a new belt on since the last one delaminated for some reason. Can it be the plugs or bad gas? Any help would be appreciated. Dan.

if the vibration is at your feet...check your driveshaft bearing..known to fail...

overgreased could blow a seal...or if you damaged the seal...or the race...if the bearing has failed then yes...you can also check the jackshaft bearing......and yes..failed bearings will cause vibration....also a bent driveshaft..

The sled has 6900 kms on it. It seems like it happened after the belt delaminated and filling up at a questionable gas station. Could bad gas cause this or the belt causing some damage to the secondary bearing. I am going to put new plugs in, check the copper exhaust donuts I put in this summer and check the bearings to see if I can find anything wrong. What plugs would you recommend? Dan.

Did you check the plastic pucks on the secondary? If they are worn out or damaged from the belt it could cause binding and then your secondary doesn't shift out all the way..

Never thought of that. It makes sense and I will be checking that out also. Thanks. Dan.
