Ontario Trail Permit Location

Anyone have any good ideas where to put the trail permit? I dont want to put it on the windsheild because I put the tall one on for big trips. I saw someone put it on the plastic on the backside of the handle bars, anyone else done that? if you can post a pic.

There are instructions on the back of the trail permit as to how it needs to be installed. It says something to the affect that it needs to be visible from 10 meters directly in front of the sled.

on my nytro I just put it behind the windshield on the back side of the gauge

I put mine in about the same place behind the windshield on the panel that the gauge in on. As long as you don't have a blacked out windshield on you can see it from the front.

I put mine just below the head light on the flat part of the hood.

IF you dont have a decal on the nose you can place it under the headlamp. I've also put it on the side panel near the top...which is technically allowed.

This is where I put mine. I've only been through one ride stop with it but they didn't even bat an eyelash. YMMV.

Not sure if New Brunswick would be the same rules but I dont see why they would be. I placed mine on the right side of the sled, on the lower cowl almost behind the shock. no problem.

I put mine just below the head light on the flat part of the hood.

I put mine here also with no problems. its very visable and thats all they are really looking for.
