I just purchased 144 Woody's Gold Diggers for my 04 Rx-1 and I got both single and double backers. What is everyone's opinion on the double diggers? I would think that it should make the area stronger and less likely to pull out. But the studs are placed closer together in the pattern since they share a backer. Thoughts???

I used the double Bender backers on my 98SRX7. A buddy of mine was running them also, and he somehow had a stud come loose and fall out.

End result, the backer twisted and hit the front cooler.

I never had any trouble with mine, but did not put them in my 02 SRX7.

I ran 192 studs on previous sleds with the double backers and ran one stud outside of the rails and jumped left to right on the inside with the double backers staying fairly close to the rails. Lost a few studs and bent a few, nothing unusual.

Studding this weekend and could use some more input. Singles or doubles?

I have used doubles for years and love them. I think there is more support. Only in the middle though. Use singles on the outdside.
