I'm looking to get a GPS and would like opinions on what mounts well on the Apex and works well in the cold and wet weather.

A friend of mine just got a Garmin Vista HCx for about $200. The x means it takes a memory expansion card. I use a Garmin map60CS never had any problems with the cold even down to -40.

because of the room to install one on our Apex/Attak's I'd go with one that has a bigger screen then my 60cs Garmin.
A Ram mount mounted to the riser is the way to go I find.

I just bought a GPS about a month ago. I have thrown this unit through some rough conditions...I bought the Garmin 76csx...I have had it out in 15 below zero and it works great...It's water proof, comes with 128mb chip (bought a 2gig one for $30)...Very pleased with this unit and would recommend it to anyone...The only thing is if you dont leave it plugged in constantly, just set your display light to stay on constantly, that keeps the lcd warm enough so it doesn't get jittery... I just plug mine in to the 12v plug on my sled and away i go...
