I was a hard decision to make but after a long conversation with SRX Magic we have agreed to move the Shoot-out date to Sunday Feb 19.
Last weeks warm weather and rain has wiped out the snow we had, so getting down to the lake would be better suited for an ATV. No measurable snow is in the forecast until possibly Saturday. Too far away to keep people hanging.
The ice still measures 12" thick and this weeks colder forecast will only help matters.
The cove at J & D Marina is "shaky at best" as that's where the source of water enters the reservoir. This week will help refreeze that major traffic area.
We want everyone to enjoy themselves but safety comes first.
There are a lot of guys that want to attend and drive 3-5 hours for the event.
The conditions need to be right.
Feel free to PM or ask questions about the 19th event.
We hope to have 2 lanes for racing.
One at least 4 sleds wide for 660', 1,000', 1,320'.
One 2,000' for top speed radar runs.
Records will be kept and posted on TY after the event.
Let's see what "you" have!!

Yeah this weekend sucked.Was in Boston yesterday at a Bike show and everybody had their bikes out.Looks like i'll stay up at Tugg Hill all weekend, was gonna come home for the runs.See you guys next week.

Unfortuneatley the 19th does Not work for me already have plans with the wife and kids weekend in Pittsburg NH.
This sucks I was really looking forward to this event and now I have to miss it SOOOOO SAAAAAD.

Directions from Albany. Take Interstate 90 into Mass. Take exit #2 Lee.
After toll booth go left on Rt 20 heading east. Follow rt20 approx 5 miles to Rt 8 south. Follow Rt 8 approx 5miles to OTIS center. Take Rt 23 east approx 4 miles to big sign that says J & D Marina. Go right at J&D sign (Westshore Rd.) Follow for 1/2 mile and take the 2nd left on Pine Rd.
I'm 8/10 down on Left.
Look forward to seeing you.
