OK, Got your attention.
On long days riding, my throttle thumb and the heel of my hand become painful. ( I've had carple tunnel surgery ) I'm looking for something that would allow me to operate the throttle from different positions, or use a different finger. There used to be an addapter so you could also use your index finger, but I can't find it anywhere. Can anybody help me out?

there is a kit out that will allow you to swap the throttle to the opposite side. I think it is called lefties or lefty's. something like that.
swaps your problem to a different arm.

would something like this work if you put it on the right side but towards the front. Then use your index and middle fingers to pull the throttle http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Left-Han ... dZViewItem

If you choose, you can instal this kit for a left hand throttle. The picture an explanation does justice, so Ill just shutup.
You can get this kit almost anywhere too, this site is just some good info on it.

Also, if you dont want to spend alot of money or any for that matter, and dont want to do some instalation, then just rotate your throttle block down, so that you can use your entire palm against the throttle. I leave mine loose-ish so I can move it whenever I want and when doing some of my crazy stunts, if it gets hit, it will rotate and not brake, kind of like dirtbikes.

Many times just rotating the throttle to a different angle will help.

I have to agree I changed the angle for Musher Mama's throttle and it helped a lot. I changed mine too and even though it was not giving me a sore thumb it was more comfortable.

Thanks for all the replies. I've already tried moving it, and it helped a lot, but I think the left side throttle is the ticket. I'm going to install one for next year.

You could probably rotate the whole assembly 180deg around the bar and make it into a pull-throttle like a jetski. Downside to this, of course, is inability to access the temp buttons and kill switch.
