I am thinking of putting an overdrive sheave on my primary. My question is will the stock gearing be able tu pull this.Or what gearing should i run to get essentially same top end as stock .I am thinking that lower gearing with this sheave will give me better low end plus the same top end as stock .Am i right .I really dont want to loose top end. Thanks in advance.

The stock gearing is too high even for the stock sheave. You can gear down 10% withOUT overdrive, 15% WITH. That means 22/38, 23/40, 24/42 withOUT overdrive, 21/38, 22/40, 23/42 WITH overdrive. Bottom end is unreal with this configuration.
Note that overdrive is not quite as efficient as non-overdrive. Overdrive should mainly be used for those who gear way down to improve bottom end WHILE keeping the engine running at a suitable speed when maxed out. In practice, the loss of efficiency is negligible.
You'll also want to throw a whole lot of weight at the primary when gearing down, otherwise you'll over rev.
