The local dealer rarely has much inventory, I was very impressed when they had the driveshaft bearing beside the speedo gear in stock even though its the same bearing for almost all models. I could live with that though, as parts were always three days away. Now it is at around 2 weeks. What is up with this? Anyone else have this problem? Is it a Western Canadian thing or do I have a lamer dealer than I thought? This is very problematic for me. With the ridiculous prices we pay for some of this stuff am I going to have to pay even more for express shipping or American exchange?

I've ordered Yamaha stuff recently like idler wheels and an axel that weren't in stock from dealers on this site. I placed the order on a Monday they got them 3 days later and I had them exactly 1 week after I placed the order. Maybe they only order on a specific day of the week or are waiting until they have a big enough order to save on shipping.

I dont know what the reason is. They babbled something about changes in the way Yamaha does things but to me it was bla bla bla. Not sure if I am going to buy a half Arctic Cat if I have to wait two weeks for parts.

Well unless it's engine, clutch or body panels you could go through your local AC dealer (if you have one) for everything else I guess.

Checkout Pro Caliber Motorsports out of WA or Port Yamaha out of WI - free shipping with around $100 I believe. I order all my parts through them - same OEM parts much cheaper than any other dealer around.
