I've spent alot of time with my rx1 last year building to suit our mountains in BC.
- Replaced Rear suspension with HOLTZ kit, fox rear shock.
- HOLTZ a-arms with 1.5 inch increase each side, tuned. (no ski lift in corners, but pulls right out of any deep snow)
- Mountain Performance Battery moved to the front of steering colum, lost weight and moved it back more.
- Tool box and cup holders removed.
- Exhaust is custom, dual pipes under tunnel, exhausting out ontop of track.
- Custom hood, no lights anymore, optional PIAA's in my back pack.
- clutching and jetting have been modified to an extreame performance. (bad fuel economy, but climbs and pulls harder than any rx1 i have come up against yet? Challengers?)
- Turbo is being finished this weekend, 7 pounds of boost to start, 200 plus horse power.
I am so impressed by this machine, we shaved over 90 pounds and it high marks all the time. wanted to give some info on a inspirring sled.
enjoy.

Shaving pounds...
As i listed there :
- the Holtz rear suspension pulled 35 pounds off.
- holtz front a arms 8 pounds
- rear tunnel extention custom 16 pounds
- battery 4 pounds
- hood and lights 9 pounds
- exhaust 12 pounds
- tool box 4 pounds
total 88 pounds.
So far that is what we have done so far, will be adding new exhaust for another pound taken off. I will add some photos and parts list as soon as i get my camera going again.

Re: Shaving pounds...
I don't mean to be a doubting Thomas here, BUT.....
Holz only claims 34 for the skid AND someone tells me they stretched the 34 lbs a little
Holz only claims 6.5 lbs for a-arms
When I weighed my rear tunnel extension it weighed no where near 16lbs?
What about the added weight of the turbo?
Aftermarket companies unfortunately don't always tell the truth about weight savings.

Weight Loss Program
You may be correct on the the tunnel, i also had a snowboard and gas rack before, That has been illiminated. I have all the exact weights written down at the shop, may have made a mistake, but i know from weighing the whole machine we are down 88 pounds, i still have the light hood to put on and a few more mods, once it is all together i will know better. It is currently in 3 major pieces in 3 different city's. It's hard to know what is what right now. my goal is 100 pounds with my turbo installed.
PS. Going up tomorrow to try a 800HO Rev 2004, wish me luck!!!
Take care.
