I'm a newbie to this forum so bear with my ignorance. I have an '05 Rx-1 and really like it. I would, however, like to make it perform better and faster. So, I would like to know what options I have to do this. First of all, I was considering studding the track. I've heard mixed reviews on studding an 1 1/2" track. The dealer told me it wouldn't make a difference. Others have said it would. I was also wondering about getting a silencer. Pros and cons? I'd love to get a turbo, but heard it was $5K. I think I'd get a new Apex before I'd spend that type of $. Won't a turbo be too hard on the engine if you were planning on trail riding with it? I cannot imagine it you could put on thousands of miles with it being too hard on the engine. What about a filter or clutch kit? Please help.

Studding the 1.25" ripsaw makes a huge difference if you ride in icy conditions. Going into icey corners you will have stopping power and your rear will not slide off into the trees. In packed trail conditions the impact will be minimal. Personnally, I stud for safety, especially since my wife likes to ride the 1-tons as well. A silencer will not give you any performance gain, only noise. Your best bang for the buck is installing a set of heavy hitters from Matt at the speedshop. Getting the power to the track is the most important mod. And/or install the ECP filter kit which will liven up your midrange. I am selling my filter kit complete minus the heavy hitters if you are interested. (Apex GT on the way).

primary spring
Well, I ordered the orange/silver/orange primary spring. Hopefully, that will give me a little something. Any other input is appreciated.
