My misses took her first ride on a new 06 Nytro today and it didn't go that well. She was worn out after about 30 mins of riding. Last year she had an 02 500 MXZ and could ride all day. If she gets out of the sport then my sled fund is going to take it in the arse.
What really wears her out is the twisties. How is the steering effort on a Phazer compared to the Nytro or Vector. Thanks!

well we dont want you to take it in the arse there Mr Elton John LMAO
I rode a phazer a number of times last year, it is noticably less tiring to ride than the bigger delta I and II sleds in the very tight and twisties.
Try to get a dealer to let her test drive one if you can. Port Yamaha would probably do it (granted they are north of Milwaukee)

The Phazer has a lighter feel than the Nytro and Vector and I think that would be the way to go.

My first impression of the Phazer was that it was tippy. Granted, the one I rode was the floor model at the dealership, so I' sure there was little or no "set up" work done. I thought it was a peppy little sled, but my opinion would be to got to the FX Nytro. I bought one for my wife, and granted I will probably ride it way more than her, I wanted to get a sled that would keep up with the big sleds when out on longer rides. A few good blasts with the Apex, and a Phazer would be catching up at the next stop sign.

One thing she may not like about the phazer is the firmer seat ...
Defiantly easier to handle ... not as tiering.

Women get cold quick and that is Not good ?
I agree with Gina, the only thing i seem to have heard from the ladies is that the seat is a little on the firm side. As far as tippiness goes, its my understanding that the GT is the plushest riding and less tippy in it. (nice grammer on that last sentence).

Over all the phazer is super fun ... I love it ... I sold my extended viper to replace with a phazer!
As far as cold ... if you go with a GT they come with extra wind coverage (I think). The GT's are pretty easy to get too ... I have been looking and that is all I can find! I am going with an fx ...

I think that if you got her a GT or put the tall windshield and knee wind deflectors on whatever model you do get her, she would be fine.
I honestly didnt find the Phazer to be cold.

If you are considering Phazers, don't forget that the base Phazer does not have reverse.
I'd go for the Phazer GT, it has the wind deflectors, rides good, easy throttle pull, and steers easy. I just bought one for my wife. On the other hand I have 2 RX1 sled and my 4'10" daughter has no problem with that.

I put some miles on a Phazer GT? last year, it was very easy to ride. I'd compare the ride to that of a quad, a 85mph quad. It is the sled I'll buy for my chick when she's done having all those babies and when she can fit her a$$es back into her snow-gear.

I would only get one for her if she likes to ride a dirt bike! I bought a GT for my wife and it was a mess. The first complaint was the tippyness....I spent a lot of time uprighting it (off trail), then cleaning the oil out the airbox. The second complaint was the seat....too stiff. The third complaint was the cold....not enough protection even with the GT windshield and knee dams. The fourth complaint was the ice build-up on the running boards.....just added more to the third complaint.
The primary complaints that I had with it were just about ALL the problems with the 07 Phazers that lots of people were having (see 4-stroke Phazer forum!), and digging it out. I ended up selling it off and getting her a Vector Mtn. She is MUCH happier with it!
Again, if she likes dirt bikes, she'll probably like the Phazer. If not, I wouldn't go there.............
