Phazer for the Misses??

I agree. The Phazer is a sled that is really for more of an aggressive, active rider. Its not the sled for someone who just wants to stay seating in the middle of the seat, never leaning and never standing.
Me personally, Im an active, very aggressive rider. I spend more time standing when Im riding than sitting down and I lean way off the side of the sled in the twisties. I love the Phazer, but I do agree that its not the best sled for everyone.
If the Mrs is the kind of person who just likes to sit and cruise, you might be better off finding her a Vector or maybe even an Apex.

Here is my 2 cents on this "buy a phazer for the wife."

I had my wife on a 2002 SXViper, and she was always worn out with the size and the seating position. She is a petite girl and the lower seating position really made it hard to get any leverage on the sled. I was always waiting for her to catch up and she drove like a grandma!

When the phazer came into the line up again (Did I mention her first sled was a 1990 Phazer II - and she used to run as fast as I dared to let her!!!) she was immediately interested.

She was immediately back to her faster speeds and longer riding adventures. She loves the small size, easy throttle pull, and eating position. She is small, so the seat is actually OK for her. She does say it is hard to side hill and seems to give her issues in tight turns when trying to turn around.

IT IS A COLD SLED!!! When it gets colder than 20 degrees, you really know it. I spent wuite a few rides last winter freezing my arse off riding a phazer while my wife comfortably rode my 2003 RX-1!!! Too bad for her, I upgraded to an equally "cool" sled.....................

I would say if she can hack the cold, and is a smaller girl that likes riding a smaller yet fun sled, she will like it. Worse case, you get another snowmobile to play with.......................

I recomend you to let your wife try a phazer before you buy one. I had a phazer fx last year and my now ex girlfrien tested it. She did not like it at all. She found it tippy, pushing when cornering, hard and narrow seat and that the engine missed a few ponies.. She said she would never had traded her 02 sx viper for a phazer. Btw, she does not look like or have the strengt as a female hungarian sledge thrower on steroider from the 1980's, she is also a petite girl but she loves the engine and handeling on her viper.
