I’m seriously thinking about selling my RX1M and getting a Phazer. The snow conditions here have been getting worst and a 151 inch track with a 2 inch paddle is overkill! I am more of a ditch banger and was wondering if any of you Phazer guru’s heard of a Phazer rail extension to about 136 with a tunnel extension. I think that would be a pretty cool setup.

Thoughts?

Tracks USA is probably the best extension even though it doesn't support 8" wheels (but I am going to modify mine to fit 8". I think using an offset axle is cheating :tg: )
But it supports full length hyfax which is good.

Short track and mtn phazers each have their trade-offs. Stock short tracks apparently are no good in deep powder, but are geared for 80-90mph and the fx comes with good suspension. Mtn's do well in deep pow stock but are geared for 60-65mph and have crap suspension. As a mtn lite rider, I can tell you that the 14x144 is a pretty good all around track. A magazine article said that it has slightly less footprint than a standard 15x136 and it does seem to rear steer, as well as hook up in pow, pretty darn well. So, buy short track and do track length mods, or buy mtn and then GYT shocks and a paint job. Mtn lite is definitely awesome in ditches- carves top turns on one ski while "seated" with lots of snow or almost none. It does, however, have shorter a-arms/ski-stance/suspension travel and is a bit tippier(I #*$&@/u/me).

I am looking forward to throwing my OEM kiddy track in the trash dumpster drain bin. Completely useless as we have a lot of snow right now.
