I bought a '07 phazer 4 stroke that had thrown a rod due to bad bearing. Since then, I have seen several other for sale too. I searched this site and didn't see any posts on the topic. Is this an issue and does anyone have a suggested fix? Thanks!

Change oil use good oil and let it warm up before you hammer on it. I haven't heard any issues that would indicate a weak point.

I agree. Not a issue.Did it wreck the rod or just spin the bearing?Crank good?
I have some rods here could part with one but the bearing is fit so you will have to get that anyway. They are inexpensive but I would consult a good mechanic to determine what size is needed.Threre is alot of sizes even from factory. Not like a Chevy!

That's what happened to mine. Tech said due to low oil pressure. I say due to landing on its back with the throttle pinned under the snow and oil being forced out of the engine while spinning at 11,800 rpm.
