I was with Erick from MC-XPRESS last weekend at the Big Iron Shootout in B.C . He planning on 140 hp with his turbo system ;)!

REALLY?!?! That's very interesting.......

How much weight will the turbo add to the sled?
Also, 60hp extra with a turbo sounds high. That's more then 50% increase in power.
Does anybody know what the torque numbers are for the Phazer?

We've been running our mcx apex turbo's at over 100% of stock power at 17lbs for 312hp with the head spacer gasket and straight 100ll av gas ($1.20 a litre at the airport) so I could see this being a very modest hp goal.

Phazer turbo

The original silencer is quite heavy and is replaced with a lighter one
so the final weight will probably not change at all..
or very little! 10 lbs maximum..
but it may also be lighter..

Now taking deposits on the MCXpress turbo for the Phazer. The kit is 80% complete and will be 140 hp on pump premium. Pricing is expected to be around $4000 usd. Deposit is $500. When final pricing comes out, you will have 30 days to decide if you still want the kit or a refund. Kits will ship in early fall according to Erik. Jim - 866-283-9598 Powerband Motorsports/Cooke City Motorsports.

the thing all these guys are forgetting is boosted the H.p. doesn't change at altitude ! Where there 170 h.p. DOO-DOO will be less then the 140 h.p. boosted Phazer at 10,000 ft. .....correct me if I'm wrong

Now we just need to figure out how to narrow up a 162!

" EXACTLY " , that would be an awesome combination ! 162x14 light track like the new doo's have ! That would be the ultimate cornice dropping sled with that much suspension ! If yamaha wants to be number one in the mountain division , there's a start ! Make it a production sled with 140ish H.P. and 162x14 at 480 lbs and that chassis with that much travel....... bingo there number one !
