Well I finally made the decision to give up on the old faithfull 03 RX-1. I was on my way home from an bad 4 day deer hunt and stopped at one of my local dealers just to peak. He was taking in a trade on an 07 Apex LTX GT at that time.
I waited till the transaction was done and then checked it out. This was a left over 07 sold late this spring with 490 miles on it. C&A sno pro skis and studded down the middle. Not a mark on it and was serviced at the end of the season with its 1st oil & filter change at the dealer.
I beat up the dealer, showed a couple of tears and did a lot of begging. We moved it from the guys trailer to mine it never touched the blacktop.
I ordered the rox 4 to 5.5 pivoting riser and mounting block, a power madd mtn strap and 13 mm sway bar last night.
Tonight I am installing my clutch and secondary with the Heel Clicker II and the overdrive sheaves, my Hauck Fuel Accelerator, Hauck Pipe, Gyt-R-Dun air filter kit and the 06 seat with the black skinz seat cover.
I am going to ride first and see how the skis work before I put on my Simmons Flex's.
It better Snow by this weekend

We have a cabin also above about 20 miles north of Virginia righ on the Taconite Trail but have not ridden there much due to poor snow and pesky DNR they like to write me tickets - I can't drive 55
Oh yeah I got 2 tickets in Yellowstone they are worse the MN DNR and they are Federal.

I have bought all of my sleds from Waldoch. I am only a few miles away.
I used to go to the UP all the time but I got tired of driving that far to ride trails that looked like a motocross track by Saturday.
We ride the Pequaywan area up to Hoyt Lakes and down to Island lake. We ride with locals who know the "secret" roads & trails and we have managed to mostly avoid the DNR.

well you should go back last year I was there from Christmas to the week after New Years and passed only several sleds. The trails were like glass and groomed 3 times daily.
