Wondering what you owners of pilot skis thought of them on your Apex/Attaks? Did they help eliminate the darting on grommed trails (not packed hard) when travelling behind others? Do they push in the turns in looser snow?
I have them on 2 RX1's. The sleds have been widened with stuffed seats and articulating handle bar risers so they ride similar to an Apex.
We like them overall. They steer much lighter than the stock skis or C&A skis. They rail well on packed trails and trails with loose snow on them. They do push in fresh powder. I am running 4" carbides in the center and 6" on the outside.
I have never noticed any darting. I would buy these again for sure. I think they are an improvement over the Precisions, they don't push as bad as they did in powder. I have never had Simmons so I can't compare to them.

My sled darted were I was getting rid of it last year. This summer I put a set of wood duelies on and set toe.The sled feels like it's on rails.
I also had a new rear shock install from being blown out.I went from hating this sled to loving it.I'm gonna put 136 inch track on it and I'll be done with it.

13mm sway bar plus pilots IMO is hard to beat....it RAILS on the trail corners and super light steering effort with pilots...I will most likely upgrade the 4 inchers to 6 inch in center later this season...
nearly eliminated all darting...
I jumped on a buds rtx with stock yammies skis and WOW,im so used to mine its like night and day.
not bad for least expensive ski on the market.....best upgrade youll make.

Love my pilots with 6 in shapers down the center, 6 inch bars on outside. It's on rails. I have never ridden the 13mm sway bar, everyone says it's even better!!!!!!!!!!!best 300 bucks I spent in a long time.

Could you forward me a picture showing your machine more front on so I could get a better idea how the wide Pilots look directly from the front?

How much are the pilot skis and do they just bolt on or do you have to do some work to get them to fit?
Do the 6.9 Pilots help the front end get up and plane better rather than pushing the snow like the stockers? Just seems to me it takes these machines a way more effort to plane than say a Renegade.
