Which version of the piolts are better for the Apex. I have a 07 RTX and want to replace the stock skis. Do the new single runner work as well as the dual runner? Help is apprecieated as I dont want to buy the wrong ones.

If you play offtrail at all I would suggest the 6.9 pilots off the summit rather than the 5.7's. The extra width has no ill effects and floats wayyyyy better.

I just put on a set of the 6.9's on my attak all I can say is awesome. I love them, so much then stock it ain't even funny. I put 5.5 carbides in the main keel and 4.5 in the outside. I also used the stock oem skidoo rubber thing that goes between the ski and spindle. With no weight on ski it points slightly up. Also used the yamaha handles just had to do a little grinding to make them fit.

I love my 5.7 pilots, only draw back is the price of carbides. I run the 6" shapers on the centers $65.00 and 6" bars on the outside $45.00. hurts to buy new ones. LOL
But they rock on trails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how many miles do you have on your snowtracker extreme. i have stud boys deuce bar. they do a good job at eliminating darting. But they are the biggest and heaviest runners i have ever seen. The width of the runners on the bottom seem to scrub alot of speed. i cant go past 100 mph on trails but if surface is rock hard it will climb to 125-130 on speedo.
