Wait I just reread your post. You ran 14 pounds on stock compression. Wow oh ya way to much boost for pump gas.
I wouls say 12 pounds all day any distance on pump fuel witht eh 9 to 1 pistons.

I run 10 psi on 93 octane or at least I think its 93 octane , as previously stated you never really know when you pull up to the pump plan on 87 and you won't be to far off. I have a Powederlite shim which brings the compression down to 9.3:1. I don't believe you should go higher than 10 psi. without better fuel, the damage is very costly. If you could pull 4 degrees of timing out it would be better yet and I doubt you would feel the difference. Best advice guys don't get greedy when it comes to boost and pump gas and don't believe these guys that say 12 psi, stock motor, pump gas it's just a matter of time there going DOWN sooner or later and they won't admit it!

I have seen few guys run 10 lbs on pump fuel but not for long the motor won,t last even at 10,000 ft.

Hey Duane, no problem with helping you off of the lake, that's what friends are for. Too bad for the pistons, man, when I saw the oil, I thought maybe just a head gasket.
Git 'er fixed up, and we will play again. Have a good one!
