Has someone found a way to keep these arms pivot arms from breaking??

Mine don't seem to last more than 2000 miles. All but the original have been beefed up and they still crack.

Do you mean the front "W" arm on the mono skids? Yamaha updated them at least once.Has someone found a way to keep these arms pivot arms from breaking??

I have broken updated ones, stock ones and heavily reinforced ones. I keep repairing them until it cannot be repaired any more. Just picked up what will be my 4th W arm last nite. Will be dropping it off at the local welding shop for more reinforcement and then to powder coat.
And no, I am not jumping driveways or anything young man like that.

You probably recall there was lots of discussion on these in the pre Yamacat days when we were all riding our Apexs as our main sleds. I thought the reinforcement fillets had cured the problem but I guess not. I installed an updated W arm on my Attak and it has lasted.
Ok the subject of the reinforced W arm. The 2008 GT arm is part number 8FT47331-01-00. The 2006 arm has been replaced by part number 99999-03774-00.
Which is the right one to order?
