1995 XLT SP (Son's)
My son, who will be 12 by next winter will be riding my old Indy XLT so I am curious what would be the best/easiest to steer plastic ski/carbide combo for him?

It currently has the original stock steel skis with Woodies dually carbides on it and although I haven't ridden it yet with this combo, my bil, who is a big man, said it was hard to steer?

I am curious about Kimpex Arrows or even stock Polaris plastic skis and wonder what you think of those?

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.... ;)!

I have a 1997 xlt sp xtra 12 wedge chassis with the factory plastic skis and they steer a lot better than a friend who had the same sled with slp trail skis, I had woodys 6" carbides on it when i trail rode it with 144 studs and seemed to do as well as the sled/chassis would allow for handling/pushing/darting

Thanks ABL, I have also heard good things about the Polaris plastic skis but for the life of me I can never seem to find a pair or when I do the price is usually right off side or they are already sold :o|

I can pick up some Arrows from Royal for under $400 complete with carbides so that is the way I am leaning so far.

Appreciate your info, thanks ;)!

I know, really old post, but I did end up purchasing some of these for my son's XLT but I realized I didn't get any rubber ski saddles?

I looked at some links but see no pics or reference to any rubber saddles at all??

Do I no longer require the rubber ski saddle with these skis, or do I just use the stock Polaris rubber ski saddles?

Thanks. ;)!

Picked up the rubber saddles yesterday and the installation kit.

The saddles weren't included but the installation kit was suppose to be so N/C for that.
