played in the pit today. (vid)

lol, I wasn't talking about you. I didn't even realise you did it, so it couldn't of been much. I'm talking the kids with the cans on their Revs. You must know what i mean? I hope. Now i feel bad.

I was told by a very wise dude many years ago to never do it as it could cause engine damage from the constant heat and cold changes to the engine. I know in the aviation world we never jockey the throttle on a piston engine. Just slow advace to the setting we need.

Why would anyone jockey a planes engine, on any of them. I dont see how the would sound cool.If you did jockey it it not like you are going to get any were fast then brake. It takes a plane more time to get a hole shot, unlees you have a fighter jet or a air race plane.

If someone has to do this with the throttle to stop the engine from bogging you have bigger issues. While I am not familiar with the Phazer I know on my Apex it can idle for several minutes and it just goes when you hit the throttle. As I said I am just trying to figure it out.

I can see how giving it gas with keep the engine breaking from stooping the sled too fast. I do it sometimes.

I think were talking the gas station, tavern parking lots, and fishing derby heros.

The phazers have a stumble of the bottom. Well all the ones I have tried do its not so much a bog as just a stumble off idle while moving. If you punch it from a stop its fine if you do from a 5 mph or so roll it takes a split second to really kick in. It could be a clutching thing also I just know if I keep mine around 2000/2500 rpm it hits much better from a roll.

i do it too keep the engine braking from happening, or adjust the attitude of the sled however subtle you may see in tha camera.

I do it out of pure habit from Racing Snox sleds for to long... On the snox sleds we would put real big pilots in to help the whole shot so if you didn't chop the throttle they would bog. Its just habit for me now. No reason to to it on a 4stroke but its muscle memory for me now
